meeting is Thursday, July 9th at 7:00 PM. Please note the change in start time. Also, please notice that the July meeting will be held during the second week of July to observe the holiday. Parents are also encouraged to attend this monthly meeting.
Harrisburg City Islanders vs. Crystal Palace
The Harrisburg City Islanders and the Lancaster Barnstormers have joined together to bring an incredible event to central Pennsylvania. On July 16th, the City Islanders will play against London's Crystal Palace at Lancaster's Clipper Magazine Stadium. Kick-off will be at 7:05 PM and tickets are available through DYS at a special discounted price of $10.00. Please contact Paul Ocampo at 598-3323 to purchase tickets. These tickets will sell fast so be sure to order yours soon.
DYS Soccer Camp
Donegal Youth Soccer will host their annual soccer camp during the first full week of August. The camp will open on August 3rd and run through August 7th at Fuhrman Park in Maytown. The hours for the camp will be 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM for U6 children and younger. 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM for U8 children and older. If you have any questions regarding the soccer camp or would like to register your child, please contact Mrs. Amanda Wagner at 492-4226.
Local Church will offer free soccer camp/youth ministry
This summer, Reich's Evangelical Congregational Church in Maytown will offer a free soccer camp and youth ministry to area children between the ages of 5 and 12 years old. The camp/ministry will be held each evening between July 19 through July 23 at Legion Field in Maytown. If you would like to pre-register your child, please call Pastor Dan Blank at the church office. The number to call is 426-1339 and the cost is absolutely free.
Where does all that money go?
Why do we have a fundraiser? What does your money pay for? These are very good questions and you have a right to know. To help you understand the everyday cost of running the club, we have put together a short list of the most common expenses that the club pays each season. The list can be viewed here. You may request a complete itemized list of expenses by contacting our treasurer, Michelle Jones.
Please consider volunteering some of your time to invest in the lives of our children. DYS is always looking for volunteers. There is a volunteer form located on the "Sign-Up" page as well as the "Volunteer" page. There are many positions available.
